Garment Care Guide
How and when we wash our clothes makes a big difference in the longevity of our favorite items. By caring for your garments well you can extend their lives, and reduce each garments carbon footprint by around 20–30%
Turn clothes inside-out when washing
Agitation on the surface of the fabric causes fibres to loosen, making that new garment look old and worn after the very first wash
Pre-treat stains & soaking
5 minutes of soaking should be enough for most clothes, but for those dirtier loads you can let them soak for up to 30 minutes. Soaking loosens up dirt and stains from the fibres in your garment helping to get a deeper clean in the wash.
Wash less by steam cleaning
Steam will kill bacteria, removing odors and wrinkles in the process. Steaming works particularly well for freshening up pieces in between washes. For the best cleaning results, use distilled water and rinse the container with warm white vinegar after each use to prevent mildew from building up.
